Michael Riley

Michael A. Riley, age 65, of Forest Lake, died the way he lived, surrounded by laughter, on June 1, 2011. Mike was a US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved to teach and everyone who knew Mike, learned from him. His great capacity of love and laughter will be missed by all. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew & Catherine; brother James; and sister Kathleen. Known as "Boppa" and "UM" he will be missed by his wife Lynn; daughters, Patricia "Trish" Riley; Kelly Jo (Randy) Johnson; grandchildren, Andrew Riley, Michaela Johnson; father-in-law Harold Fontaine; sister-in-law Pat Riley; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at The Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area 4.
