Millard Olson

Millard LeRoy Olson, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 90, of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2010 with family by his side.

Preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Katherine (nee Tolzmann); five brothers; two sisters. He is survived by his children, Rich (Laurie), Judy (Norman) Peterson; grandchildren, Manne, Mike (fiancé Kadi Askay) & Amy Peterson; many other family and friends.

Millard was an Engineer with Forest Lake School District 831 for 38 years. He was a founding member of the Forest Lake Horseshoe Club and competed in both state and national competitions. He was very active with Faith Lutheran Church and a member of its choir for 53 years.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 5:00~7:00 p.m., Monday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Meadows on Fairview.
