Miriam Riggs

Riggs, Miriam (Maggie) A. , age 73, Merrill, WI, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. The loving mother and grandmother is survived by daughters Lorri Toomey (Mark), Wendy Paul (John), Barb Riggs (Randy); grandsons Jason Getgen (Mischel), Adam Getgen, Pascal Paul and Ray Paul; sisters Margaret Powers and Mary Doxey (Burnley); nieces Candace Karpa and Debby Doxey (John) and many cousins and great nieces and nephews. Maggie's spirit and endurance kept her busy throughout life in various service positions and her love of bowling kept her active Tuesday nights for over 40 years. She was extremely proud of her daughters and all they have accomplished, but nothing was more special to Maggie than seeing her grandsons grow into successful men. Although it wasn't Maggie's way to be overly expressive, we learned so much from her and will continue to rely on her support from above. Private services will be held.
