Nathan Jensen

Nathan Jensen, age 8 of Columbus became one of heaven's special angels on Friday, July 8, 2011 when the Lord called him home. He was a second grader at St. Peter's Catholic School, who loved boating, playing video games and most especially being with his family. Nathan's sixteen month journey with brain cancer (DIPG) ended while he was surrounded by his family. He was greeted in heaven by his father, Troy. He will be forever missed by his devoted mother, Trisha; loving sisters, Allison(5) and Rebecca(8 weeks); grandparents, John and Marge Jensen and Gordon and Patricia Hicks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Private interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family would like guests to bring a toy or game to the visitation which will be donated to Children's Hospital or a donation may be made to the Jensen Family Memorial Account at any Wells Fargo Bank. The family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors and nurses at Amplatz Children's Hospital who have cared for Nathan through this journey. They would also like to thank the community for their continued support over the past sixteen months.
