Nathan Schmidt

Nathan “Nate” Schmidt, age 33, formerly of North Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2018.  Nate enjoyed bass fishing, football and cars.  Most of all his life revolved around his family; especially his children, Jacob and Sophia Schmidt.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Schmidt.  He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him including his children, Jacob and Sophia and their mother, Danica Tvedten-Schmidt; parents, Kevin and Wendy Schmidt; brother Adam; sister, Alissa (Joe) Ugro; paternal grandmother, Vera Schmidt; maternal grandparents, John and Geraldine Iserman; numerous extended family and friends. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.  The family welcomes guests to bring photos and beloved memories of Nate to be collected for his children.
