Pamela Sherwood-Gabrielson, age 69, of Scandia, Minnesota,  passed away at home on May 4, 2021. Youngest child of Florence and Harland Gabrielson, Pamela grew up in Marine on St. Croix. A graduate of St. Olaf College and Northwestern University, her professional life was marked by her love of teaching and helping, primarily working as an American Sign Language interpreter and an adult basic education instructor. She loved music, singing as an alto in Stillwater's Valley Chamber Chorale and in the Elim Lutheran Church Choir. She always had rescue pets, and her most recent companions, Nala and Kitty, miss her dearly. An exceptional mother, wife, sister, and friend, she was known for her wonderful cooking and for hosting loving gatherings of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Linda. She is survived by her husband, David; children, Christopher and Andrew; brother, David; and nephews, Matthew (Sarah), Daniel, and Thomas, and many other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail N, Scandia.  A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia.
