Pandora Gustafson

Gustafson, Pandora, age 89 of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2011 at Parmly LifePointes, in Chisago City, Minnesota. Pandora was born near Deer Park, Wisconsin on November 10, 1921 to John and Mamie (nee Nygard) Starup. Preceded in death by loving husband of 63 years Irving: brothers Helmer, James and Allen Starup; sister Myrtle McDowell. Survived by children; Yvonne (Buck) Broadbent, Duane (Sue) Gustafson, LuAnn (Curt) Pressler, Diana Rehbein, David (Becki) Gustafson; grandchildren, Kevin (Tufia) Broadbent, Shelley Broadbent, Jolene (Jason) Sievert, Kristina (Kurt) Koutek, Kari Gustafson, Nick (Molly) Klosterman, Brianne Klosterman, Aaron, Tyler and Ryan Rehbein, Matthew and Alexander Gustafson; great grandchildren Zacory, Zoie and Ava Koutek, Caitlyn, Evan and Leeland Klosterman, and Jack and Luke Broadbent; and sister-in-law Jeanette (Leonard) Emmons. Pandora was educated as a teacher and taught grade school in Polk County, Wisconsin and Rush City, Minnesota. Pandora also worked as a Title I Paraprofessional in the Forest Lake and Aitkin, Minnesota schools. Pandora was a long time resident of Linwood Township and also resided for many years at their Long Lake home near Aitkin, Minnesota, where she and Irving created and sold many craft items during their retirement. In recent years Pandora resided at Birchwood Arbors in Forest Lake. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Wyoming United Methodist Church, 5459 East Viking Blvd, Wyoming, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment at Linwood Cemetery, Monday, March 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
