Patricia J. Hoyt

Patricia “Patty” Jane Hoyt, age 79, of Scandia, Minnesota passed away on September 26, 2024 with her loving family members at her side.

Patty is survived by her husband, Denny Hoyt; two daughters, Jackie (Phillip) Sperl, Roxie Hoyt; grandsons, Brenden Sperl and Mitchell Martens; sister, Barbara “Bobbie” (Herb) Hilkins; brother, Mike Smith; nieces, Kelly (Geoff) Knott, Shannon Bronk; nephew, Ryan Smith; great niece and great nephew, Zachary Knott and Kallen Knott.

Patty was well known for her love of family and her cherished friends. She had friends from high school, the card playing ladies, and her camping friends. Patty had the heart for giving. 

Patty and Denny traveled the United States, experiencing many memories of fun and adventure in their motorhome.

Her true love of horses, dogs and all animals are what she lived for daily. Her four beloved dogs remained close in her heart after their passing. She never forgot, Coco, Pepper, Spanky and Goldie.

Patty loved to garden vegetables and flowers. She looked forward to every opportunity to be outside enjoying all of nature’s offerings; especially the birds and wild animals that lived in their backyard.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Oak Park Cemetery, Columbus, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue, PO Box 256, Forest Lake, Minnesota 55025, www.stfrananimal.org
