Paul was born December 5, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in Willow River, Minnesota. Following graduation in 1963, Paul relocated to The Twin Cities where he worked construction while attending trade school, and college. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 6 years. On September 6, 1969 he married Carol Klosowski. After 37 years of service for the City of St. Paul Housing and Urban Development, Paul retired in 2014. He was a true entrepreneur who believed if you worked hard in life you could accomplish your goals. He delved in many business ventures well into his retirement. The most life changing was the development of a restaurant and gas station complex located in Pine County, Minnesota that became "Banning Junction." He and his friends/business partners owned and operated "Banning" for 27 years, selling it in 2004. His spare time was to all of the people and activities he loved. Among his favorites were golfing, fishing, travel, hunting, sunsets, and working in his beautiful yard. He was a notorious practical joker who thrived on getting people to laugh. Above all he was a dedicated family man and found the most joy simply being in their presence. The family extends gratitude to the excellent critical care staffs at both Regions Hospital and the University Of Minnesota Hospital.
