Paul Lindgren, age 72, of Linwood, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2016 with his family by his side. Paul was born on September 2, 1943 to Ragner and Nora Lindgren. He grew up in Lauderdale and graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1961. After high school he went into the Army serving in Germany where he spent his time drinking beer and playing hockey for the Canadiens. After the Army he settled down, married the love of his life, Maryetta and had two daughters, Michelle and Julie. He held different jobs over the years including working for Gillette, a Lauderdale police officer and ultimately as a union rep for the OCAW/PACE/USW international unions. He made a difference in so many people's lives and has made so many wonderful friends across the country over the years. He lived life to the fullest always laughing, joking and telling his stories. We say farewell to a great person. He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren Noah, August, Ruby and Samantha meant everything to him. He will be dearly missed. He will always be remembered and will forever remain in our hearts. Private family services will be held.
