Paul Wahlquist

Paul Wahlquist, age 82, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Forest Lake, MN, passed away December 23, 2018.

Paul was a very caring person who had a love for history and traveling around the world.  Some of the countries he visited were South Africa, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Pakistan, The Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, and China, where he walked on the Great Wall.  His love for history, the community, people and their heritage led him to co-write, “Pioneers of the Big Lake Community” and another book of his mother’s history.  Paul provided a computer business that reached worldwide.  He was also a great supporter of the Los Angeles Chamber Ballet.

He is preceded in death by parents, Albert and Judith Wahlquist; and sister, Beverly Smith.  He is survived by close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery on a later date.
