Randy Dale Fiskum

Randy D. Fiskum, age 71 of North Branch, formerly of Woodbury and Minot, North Dakota. Passed away on Tuesday, June 04, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

Randy was born in Minot ND on May 11, 1953. He graduated from Minot High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed in Hawaii, as a DP2, IT specialist.

After the military, he worked in the IT field, for Rivertown and Veritas; which gave him an opportunity to move to Woodbury, MN, where he met Laura. They were married in 1998 and he lovingly helped her finish raising her children. After his retirement in 2017, they moved to North Branch and enjoyed a quiet life, their grandkids and all their sporting events.

Preceded in death by parents, Alvin (Elaine) Fiskum & Carole Locken and brother Leslie Fiskum. Parents in-laws Clint & Rosemary Benson, brother in-law Jimmy Benson.

Survived by wife of 25 years, Laura, step-children Courtney Ruiz (Tristan Lockwood), Joe Ruiz (Tara Gerlach), Andrea (Nick) Louden and Amber (Josh) Grover. Eight grandchildren Kaelyn Ruiz, Easton, Skylar, & Mason Louden, Jaleigh, Laila, Jake & lan Grover. Brother Vaughn (Kim) Fiskum, sister in-law Lois Fiskum. In-laws Larry Benson, Kelly (Peggy) Benson, Cathy (Don) Buda, Karen (Dennis) Schultz, Vicki (Steve) Huonder, Mary Benson and Ellen Benson. As well as many other family and friends.

 A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, on Friday, June 7^th, 2024, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Dr., Forest Lake, MN.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
