Richard Soderstrom

Soderstrom, Richard "Dick" L., age 74, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 11, 2017. Dick enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He began his career in trucking at Murphy Motor Freight and started his own business, Soderstrom Transfer in Sacred Heart, MN and continued in trucking at Lakeville Motor Express where he retired as VP of Operations. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Robert. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean; children, Cindy (Dave) Iverson, Todd, Jeff, Scott, Cheri (Brandon) Almich; brother, Ronald Bakke; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Celebration of Dick's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Rock Haven Church, 1858 Highway 212 W, Granite Falls, MN 56241. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. No interment. Memorials preferred to Birchwood Senior Living- Memory Care, Forest Lake or St. Croix Hospice, Oakdale
