Rita Leach

Rita Mary Leach (Kinney), passed away on January 11, 2012 at the age of 83. Rita was born August 1, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to Thomas and Julitta (Holland) Kinney and shortly after moved to the Chicago area. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Des Plains, IL. In 1943, while Rita was in high school her family decided to move back to St. Paul and she graduated from St. Joe's. Rita went to college for a short time at St. Catherine's. Then started working at Montgomery Ward where she met Harvey (1925-2010) her husband of 55 years. Rita owned her own company, called Ideagroup, in White Bear Lake. She retired to Tucson, AZ in 1984, also residing in Phoenix, AZ, Castle Rock, CO, Ellendale ND and passed away in Fergus Falls MN.

Waiting to greet her in heaven is her husband Harvey; her son, Thomas; and her daughter, Helen. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Peretz); grand-daughter, Leah and grandsons, Adam and Ben; sister, Judy (Joe) Dragich; daughter-in-law, Gayle; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January, 17, 2012 at The Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m., at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
