Robert Felgen

Robert C. "Bob" Felgen, a long time resident of Mt. Iron, passed away on June 12, 2014 in Forest Lake, MN. He was born on April 23, 1923 to Selma and Clarence Felgen in Mt. Iron. Bob graduated from Mt. Iron High school in 1942. He enlisted in the Navy from 1943-1946 and was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific theatre. On December 31, 1949 he married Margie Silovich and they made their home in Mt. Iron until they moved to Edina, MN in 2005 to be close to their daughters. Bob worked for 25 years at the St. Louis County Courthouse in Virginia, MN. He was a member of the Mt. Iron Legion Club and the Virginia Elks Club. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, major league baseball, a good cigar and his dog "Zoilo". He was a devoted husband and father. His family will miss him dearly. Survivors include his daughters, Barbara (Edina, MN), Debra (Mpls., MN), Sandra (John M.) Trenti (Wyoming, MN), beloved granddaughter, Courtney Trenti (Circle Pines, MN), sisters-in-law Gloria (George) Niska (Iron, MN), Vivian (Ron) Lee (Detroit Lakes, MN) and nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Margie, parents Selma and Clarence Felgen, his in-laws Milka and Mike Silovich, Joseph Silovich, Nick Silovich and Kathryn (Herbert) Burger.
