Robert “Rob” John Greer, age 52, of Scandia, passed away from ALS on October 16, 2024.

Throughout his life, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures, from betting on pull tabs and playing darts to enjoying a cold beer while sporting his beloved jacket that proudly proclaimed him as "The Great One." Known for his charismatic personality and witty banter, Robert connected with people through his candid conversations and his ability to listen.

A hard worker by nature, Robert's dedication was apparent in all aspects of his life. His skills extended beyond human connections, as he had a special gift for communicating with animals, often engaging in conversations with owls and attracting deer with his presence alone.

A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Robert eagerly anticipated every matchup against the Vikings, exemplifying his fierce loyalty and passion for sports. His exuberance for life and his love for the thrill of competition will be remembered by all who shared in his excitement.

Rob is preceded in death by his father, Gary; brother-in-law, Pat; and son, Zack.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Amy; children, Robbie, Alex, Sean; grandchildren, Jayden, Teagan; mother, Darlene; sisters, Sue, Danielle; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Rob's Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM, on Sunday, October 27th, 2024, at the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, 355 W Broadway Ave, Forest Lake.  A special toast to Rob followed by a time of sharing will begin at 2:00 PM at the American Legion.
