Robert Valenty

Robert George Valenty, age 91, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Forest Lake. Robert passed peacefully on June 13, 2012 with his son at his side. Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis and brother, Richard. He is survived by Loretta, his wife of 2 years; children, Anthony (Theresa) of Sarasota, FL, Mary Ann (Paul) Douglas of Evergreen, CO, Roberta Jean (David) Neutzling of Brooksville, FL, Susan Kay (John) Green of Concord, NC; sister, Dolores Peterson of Forest Lake; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Robert owned the former Valenty's Bar and Ben Franklin in Forest Lake. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Kirby Stewart Post 24, VFW Post #3233, and the BPOE #1519 of Sarasota, FL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 225. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research.
