Roland Peterson

Roland "Pete" Peterson, age 82 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2011 at Birchwood Health Care Center, Forest Lake, Minnesota. He was a dedicated volunteer with Fairview Hospice. He had a longtime career in nursing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Katie Peterson; son-in-law; former wife, Nora; three brothers; two sisters. He is survived by his children, Ruth Buentemeier, Norman (Anne) Peterson, Mary (Jim) Meyer; grandchildren, Jacob (Amy) Peterson, Christopher (Jacyln) Peterson, Heidi Peterson, Geoffrey Peterson, Shannon Meyer; great grandchildren, Natalie and Benjamin Peterson; sisters, Helga (Leo) Nelson, Haldis Ruzynski; brothers, Elmer Peterson, John Peterson, Lee (Shelly) Peterson; aunt, Thora Olson; other extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2011 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stacy, Minnesota. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Big Falls Cemetery, Big Falls, Minnesota. Memorials may be directed in care of the family to Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota 55025
