Rosalind Bowman

October 25, 1916 — May 30, 2008

Rosalind Hattie (Bergman) Bowman was born on October 25, 1916 to Benjamin and Emma Bergman. She grew up on a farm at Pilot Grove, near Elmore, Minnesota. She graduated from East Chain High School. Following graduation she took a two year teacher training course and became a teacher of a one room (grades 1-8) schoolhouse located near Granada,

Minnesota. There she met Bernard Bowman. They married in August 1937 and lived on Bernard?s parents farm where Ronald and Julienne were born. Bernard and Rosalind then bought a farm and moved to Sargeant, Minnesota. During the years at Sargeant, Gloria, Myrna, Carolyn, Carlyle and Eldred were born. When Rosalind?s parents retired and moved to Fairmont, Minnesota, Bernard and Rosalind and their seven children moved back to Pilot Grove to take over the farm. There Verlin and Arvella were born. Bernard and Rosalind bought a farm and moved to Stacy, Minnesota with their nine children. Since moving to Stacy in 1952 six more children; Bernetta, David, Twila, Roger, Bruce and Darrel were born to them. This completed their family of fifteen children.

Bernard went to be with the Lord on February 23, 1978.

In November 1980 their son Bruce died. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a baby sister, her brother-in-law,

Chester Turner, her sister Ruth Turner, and son-in-law, Don

Coulombe. Rosalind continued to live on the farm at Stacy with sons Carl and Roger until May 29, 2008 where she died peacefully at home. She had fifteen children, twenty one grandchildren and two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Rosalind is now in the presence of the Lord and loved ones who have gone before. We who believe in Jesus Christ have the blessed hope of seeing our loved one once again at the Second Coming of the Lord and the Great Resurrection of the dead, as Christ promised before He left this earth.
