Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8

Sandi Benz, a vibrant and loving soul who radiated warmth, joy, and kindness to all who knew her, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Sandi was a woman who truly understood the power of love and laughter. With a heart full of faith and a deep commitment to spreading joy, she had a unique gift for making everyone feel special.

She had a unique talent for turning everyday moments, especially holidays, into cherished memories. Sandi elevated ordinary occasions into something truly special, and her ability to connect with people was a rare and beautiful gift.

She will forever be remembered as the "microphone lady," always ready to travel with her small microphone, seeking opportunities to share smiles and songs with others, brightening their day.

Throughout her life, Sandi lived by the mantra, “persistence pays off,” a guiding principle that helped her overcome challenges and achieve remarkable things. Her resilience and determination inspired everyone around her, showing that with faith, hard work, and love, anything was possible.

Sandi had a special connection with nature. Whether it was exploring the woods “up north” or even simply dipping her toes in the water, she found inspiration in the beauty of the world around her.

She also had a deep love for the arts, which she expressed through tap dancing, piano playing, singing, and even performing a special rap for those lucky enough to witness it. Her creative talents brought laughter and entertainment to everyone who crossed her path.

She was a woman who adored her family, her kids and her grandchildren. She was called the "fun grandma," always ready with a smile, a joke, or an unforgettable adventure.

A proud lover of her community, Sandi never missed the Minnesota State Fair. There, she reveled in the sights and sounds of celebration, from the thrill of the big slide to the simple joy of corn on the cob. Her great sense of humor, zest for life, and passion for God, left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Sandi’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and unwavering faith in God will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her three children, Kimberly, Kelly (Marc), Ryan; two grandchildren, Evan, Seth (Kelly); siblings, Bonnie Pozycki, Bobi Koepke, Bruce (Linda) Bailey; and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woody and Marjorie Bailey; husband, Fred Benz.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

Sandi’s love, joy, and spirit will live on in our hearts, reminding us every day to live with faith, love, and a deep appreciation for the beauty in the world around us.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
