Shirley J. Graf, age 85, of Forest Lake, Minnesota died while surrounded by her devoted family on Monday, October 14, 2024. Shirley was born April 2, 1939 in Watertown, Minnesota. She was a very intelligent woman, excelling in all her studies. She was the Director of Nursing at District Memorial and later worked as a registered nurse at Fairview Lakes Medical Center until her retirement. She loved to serve others, and generously gave of her time and talents through missionary work over the world, primarily in Africa. She completed over three dozen medical mission trips during her lifetime. She had a strong faith in God. In her free time, she looked forward to time spent with her family and peaceful moments at home on Clear Lake. She looked forward to working in her yard, gardening, tending to her flowers, watching the birds, waterskiing on the lake and boating. She also enjoyed traveling the world; including her many trips to Hawaii.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Pearl (Stapleton) Hines; siblings, Darlene Perry and Beverly Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl; children, Lisa (David) Carlson, Stacy Davis, Honore (Kim) Afolabi; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Christian Carlson, Noah (Cassie) Davis, Anna (William) Webber, Isaiah Carlson, Jack Davis, BayoJoy Afolabi, Sade Rose Afolabi, HonoreKeke Yao Afolabi Jr.; siblings, Kenneth Hines, Debra (Charlie) Lumley; many nieces, nephews and friends.
