Shirley Peters

Peters, Shirley L. Age 91 of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016. She is preceded in death by husband, Sherman. She is survived by her sister, Mary Brimberry; children, Kurt (Julie), Karl (Teri), Karen, Kermit; six grandchildren; one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Shirley grew up on St. Paul's east side, graduating from Johnson High School, 1943. With her husband, she raised their children on a farm in Scandia, then moving to Forest Lake whereboth of them were active in the American Legion Post #225. She was a past president and Honorary Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Later on they owned and operated Sherms Trio Inn in Centerville. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 10-11 a.m., Saturday at Mattson Funeral Home. Private Interment at a later date.
