Stanley Christians

age 81 of Stacy, Minnesota went home to the Lord on September 2, 2010. He was born May 21, 1929 in Worthington, Minnesota the son of John and Laura (Meyer) Christians. He was baptized in Avoca, Minnesota and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Norcross, Minnesota and attended school at Herman, Minnesota. After his graduation from Herman school he did a summer of grain harvesting from Texas to North Dakota he then enlisted in the U.S. Army in February of 1951 where he served for three years.  He was honorably discharged, holding the rank of S. F. C.

He was united in marriage to Anna V. Williams on April 24, 1954. Together they farmed for three seasons, then moved to Silver Bay and Stan worked in the Taconite plant and later retired from 3M Company of St. Paul, Minnesota, he was retired nineteen years. They enjoyed ten years traveling to warmer weather.

He is survived by his wife Anna; four daughters, Cynthia (Mark Stoltenow), Sherilyn (Mark Gjertson), Lorraine (Wm Ketchmark) Janine (Michael Krier) all of the metro area; ten grandchildren; three great-grand daughters; sister Edna Schipper. He was preceded in death by his son Keith; parents; two brothers and two sisters.


Memorial Service will be held Satuday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stacy, Minnesota.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to service.  Private family interment at Lakeside Cemetery in Herman, Minnesota.
