Stephanie Kennedy

 Stephanie Jean Kennedy, a compassionate and beloved soul, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024, at the age of 66. She waged a courageous battle against cancer.  Born on December 19, 1957, Stephanie was the cherished daughter of LeRoy Frances and Shirley Mae (Robinson) Schowalter.
 
 Stephanie was a woman of immense strength and resilience. Throughout her life, she faced both triumphs and tribulations with unwavering grace. Her spirit, kind-hearted nature, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
 
 Stephanie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her surviving loved ones. She leaves behind her devoted spouse, John Kennedy with whom she shared a profound and boundless love. Stephanie's legacy will also be carried on by her children, Jason (Charee) Holmberg, Justin (Julie) Holmberg, and Jessica (Jared) Cunningham.
 
 Stephanie adored her role as a grandmother and found immense joy in the presence of her beloved grandchildren. Tyler Holmberg, Emily Holmberg, Michael Liebelt, Ellie Holmberg, Alex Holmberg, Eli Holmberg, Ethan Holmberg, Ryan Cunningham, Annabelle (Devin) Johnson, Jackson Cunningham, and Olivia Cunningham will forever cherish their memories with their loving and nurturing grandmother.
 
 Aside from her immediate family, Stephanie held a special bond with her sister and best friend, Rosemary Allen. Theirs was a bond forged through countless shared experiences and unbreakable support.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rodney Holmberg.
 
 A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m., until the time of service at the funeral home.
 
 Stephanie will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit, vibrant smile, and compassionate nature. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be etched in our hearts. May she find eternal peace in the arms of her loved ones who have gone before her.
 
 Rest in peace, Stephanie Jean Kennedy. Your beautiful spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
