Theodore R. Henrichs

Theodore Russell Henrichs, age 73 of Milltown, Wisconsin passed away after a short battle with cancer surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

He was born June 11, 1950 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was a Vietnam Veteran honorably discharged in 1972. Married his wife, Kathy in August of 1975. They raised two wonderful children, Andrea and Teddy. Ted drove city bus for Metropolitan Council for many years until he retired. Ted loved spending his time in the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, hunting, fishing and camping to name a few. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He volunteered at the Community Helping Hand in his spare time. He liked to travel and loved his casino trips. He enjoyed collecting many things. His and Kathy's love of family extended to the concern for the adults with special needs. They opened their hearts and home to do foster care for 30 years, providing a nurturing and caring environment which still continues today under the guidance and care of their children, Andrea and Teddy.

Ted was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by us all.

Theodore is survived by his wife, Kathy; their children, daughter, Andrea (Brad) Peterfeso and son, Theodore Henrichs; grandchildren, Trevor, Mackenzie, Emma and Ben Peterfeso; beloved pets, Dozer, Peanut and Isabella.  He is also survived by his sister, Sharon (Dave) Schwintek, Gale(Donnie) Sazma, Sarah (Ken) Bergman and brother, Dan (fiancée Kathy) Henrichs and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Shirley Henrichs.

The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota 55025.
