Thomas Prodger

Thomas S. Prodger, age 61 of Linwood, formerly of New Brighton, died on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 following a courageous two year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Tom was born on July 2, 1951 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Robert and Phyllis (Perron) Prodger. Tom attended grade school at St. John the Baptist and graduated from Mounds View High School in 1969. He enlisted in the US Navy, proudly serving until 1972. He was united in marriage to Lynne Leaf in 1974. Tom joined his father in their family business, Prodger House Movers following his enlistment. He worked alongside his father until 1994, Tom and his sons continued the family business until his death. Tom loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and road trips. He was proud of his family and cherished time spent together, especially with his beloved grandchildren. He was a quiet, gentle man; who will never be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, niece, father-in-law. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Lynne; children, Christopher (Jaime), Eric (Dawn), Amanda (fiancé Karl); grandchildren, Calvin, Jack, Kaitlyn, Isabelle, Rebecca; parents, Bob and Phyllis; siblings, Laurie (Dale) Johnson, Linda (Kim) Sanborn; many other family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wed., Jan. 9, 2013 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment at Linwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
