Died June 16, 2008 unexpectedly at home. Youth hockey and softball coach. Member of Princeton Moose Lodge #2331. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Theresa Spies; sister, Diane Nickos; in-laws, Larry and Mary Ellen Brandvig. Survived by loving wife of 16 years, Sue; children, Alex, Rachel and Abigail; brother, Andy; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am, Friday, June 20, 2008 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN. Visitation 4-8pm, Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN with visitation continuing from 9-10am, Friday at the funeral home. Burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Forest Lake, MN.
