Thomas Zangla Sr

Thomas Joseph Zangla Sr., age 74 of Lino Lakes, Minnesota died, Sunday, September 26, 2010. Thomas was born September 23, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Stellario and Barbara (Horan) Zangla. Tom joined the United States Marine Corps in 1954 and proudly served his country in Korea, Okinawa, and Vietnam as well as stateside in Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, Cincinnati and Minneapolis. He is preceded in death by wife Franny; grandparents; parents; brothers, Lawrence Zangla, Anthony Zangla. He is survived by sons, Larry (Michele), Thomas Jr. (Kathy); grandsons, Robert and Joseph; brother, Robert (Kathy) Zangla; many nieces and nephews. Tom was a member of Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church of Ham Lake, VFW, American Legion and other service organizations. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 1:30 p.m., AA #5.
