Todd W. Summer of Linwood Township, Minnesota, died March 15, 2010 at the age of 45. He was born May 30, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Bill and Darlene Summer. He graduated from Forest Lake Area High School in 1982 and joined the United States Army. He specialized in heavy equipment and was a member of the 82

Airborne Division. After completing active duty he continued in the reserves until 2000. Todd was a welder by profession, but was known for his ability to do just about anything. He did many jobs on the side, including truck driving, roofing, landscaping, stump grinding, and tree cutting. It was not uncommon to hear him telling stories of his many experiences. Todd married Juli Saloka in 1990, and they moved to Linwood Township in 1991. They were blessed with three sons, Shaun (18), Brandon (14), and Logan (10). Todd enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, motorcycle riding, fishing, kayaking, maple syruping, planning games, watching action-packed shows, and fixing, building and rebuilding things-wood stoves, trailers, cars, and the most recent project with Shaun: the ’49 Chevy. Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Summer. He is survived by Juli and their boys; his father, William Summer and his special friend, January Hubbard; siblings, Linda (Mark) Marotzke, Bill Summer, and Mark Summer; brothers-in-law, Gary Saloka, Dave (Lana) Saloka, Lenny Saloka, and Kevin (Sonia) Saloka; sister-in-law, Sharyn Berndt; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Todd was a supportive husband, loving father, and a hard working son. He will be dearly missed.
