age 60
of North Branch, formerly of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on August 3, 2005 after a long battle with diabetes.
Preceded in death by parents, Gregory and Alexandra Egorenko; brothers, Johnny and Gary.
Survived by his wife, Karen of North Branch; stepchildren, Scott (Teri) Moger, Elaine (Mike) Sorensen; stepgrandsons, Layke Moger and Dustin Sorensen all of Rochester; brother, Alexander (Ardyce) Egorenko of Maple Grove; sisters, Galina Caldemeyer of Marion, IA and Tamara (Frank) Hammond of Cresco, IA; two nieces and a nephew.
Val was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked for International Transport for twenty years, and various trucking companies since. Val enjoyed fishing, collecting old records, and watching old movies.
Memorial service 10:00 AM, Monday, August 8, 2005 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN. Inurnment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
