Vera Robinson

Vera E. Robinson, age 96, passed peacefully from this life on March 30, 2015 at Birchwood Health Care Center. Vera was a long-time Forest Lake resident who was employed for 17 years at Faith Lutheran Church, where she actively helped with youth and conducted children's choirs. She and husband, "Bud," were known for their music and community service, frequently providing music for services at Mattson Funeral Home. Vera actively participated in several music groups at her church. At various times, she was a familiar face as an employee at local businesses such as Hallberg's Pontiac, Hart Drug, Bible Book Store and the Yellow Bus Children's store. For the last 10 years, Vera shared her musical gifts with neighbors at The Arbors/Birchwood, playing the piano until the week before her illness. Vera was born Anna Eunice Elvera Chuyler, June 8, 1918 in Milaca, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by father, Charles "Hugo" Chuyler and mother, Ida; husband, Carl Lidfors; husband, Neil "Bud" Robinson; sisters, Eleanor and Vivian. Survived by sister, Dorothy; son, Timothy Carl Lidfors Robinson (Sharon) of St. Peter, MN and daughter, Corliss Vadner (Tyrone) of Forest Lake; grandchildren Matthew, Marit, Emily and Kyle; great-grandchildren Caleb, Magnus and Logan; nieces and nephews; and many long-time friends. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Oak Park Cemetery, Forest Lake. Memorials to Faith Lutheran Church Prayer Garden.
