Verna Hjelmberg

Verna A. Hjelmberg, Age 84, Lifelong resident of Scandia/Marine on St. Croix. Lover of gardening, Verna wholly and unconditionally loved her family. Passed away peacefully on May 21, 2012. Verna is preceded in death by husband, Dale Carles. Survived by children, Sandra Hjelmberg, Dennis (Marion) Hjelmberg, Wanda (Richard) Carlson, Ann (Scott) Dochniak; special granddaughter, Lisa Hjelmberg; seven additional grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Frank Huff; and sister, Sharon Kinsey. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
