Victor Lee Bowen, 54, of Askov, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2019.
He graduated from Tartan High school in the class of 1982, where he was active in football, wrestling, and on the swim team. After high school, Victor worked in the concrete & masonry industry, and continued his passion for sports playing semi pro football for the Minnesota K9’s and the Twin Cities Titans. He achieved two championship wins in the Mid-America Football League during his career. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Victor was preceded in death by his father, Keith Lowell Bowen, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by daughter Cara (Brandon), son David (Amber), and son Hunter, brothers Lowell (Lynn), Bradley (Gail), Rick, Daniel (Kara), mother Audrey, nieces and nephews including Jason, Kimberly, Ty, Brett, Jacie, Nathan, Kaylyn, and Jordan. Victor was born in St. Paul, MN on January 20, 1964 to Audrey and Keith Bowen.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Wyoming United Methodist Church, 5459 E. Viking Blvd, Wyoming, MN. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.
The Bowen family would like to extend special thanks to all family and friends that have helped support us during this unexpected and difficult time.
