Violet Norton

Violet E. Norton, age 96 of Wyoming, passed away September 11, 2010. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Phyllis; brothers, Bobby and Keith. She was a loving wife of 70 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. During the last 50 years she did ministry with the Sioux Indians and was active in Christian prayer and teaching ministries such as Aglow. She along with her husband owned and operated two businesses in Worthington and Sioux City, Iowa. In 1983 they moved to Chisago City to retire where she enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and her grandchildren. Survived by husband, Bob: daughter, Sheila: son, Scott: grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, Andrea, Adam, Isaiah, MaggieLynn, AnnaMarie, Rachel: great grandchildren, Joe, Noah, Faith, Ben: and many other relatives, as well as friends. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Maranatha Assembly of God – Chisago City Campus, , 10963 Lake Blvd, Chisago City. Visitation Friday, 4-7:00 p.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday. Interment in Wyoming United Methodist Cemetery.
