Walt "Bud" Miller

Walter (Bud) Miller, age 85 of Forest Lake, quietly passed away on the morning of August 27, 2019 at his home. Walt was employed by St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance for 35 years and later at Ace Hardware of Forest Lake. His career led him to places like Richmond, Virginia and Washington, D.C., but eventually brought him back to Minnesota.  He was a loving husband, fantastic father and a wonderful human being.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edith Miller and survived by his wife of 60 years, Yvonne; 3 children, Laura (Kevin), Walter (Teri), Stephen; 3 grandchildren; Nicole, Natalie, Suzannah; and the family dog, Sam. Visitation will be held at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 N. Shore Drive, Forest Lake on September 8 from 4-7pm. A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network pancan.org or Elim Lutheran Church, Scandia, Minnesota.
