Wiley Smith

Wiley K. Smith, age 80, of Lino Lakes, died on February 15, 2017 after a brief battle. Wiley had served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Research Scientist for 3M, prior to retiring. He was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and flying. Wiley also liked antiquing, garage sales, and birds of all kinds. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Diane. He is survived by his daughter, Christi (Kevin) Olson; grandson, Connor; siblings, Patricia Nelson, Gerald Don Smith; dear sister-in-law; extended family and friends. Gathering of Family and Friends 1-4 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Memorials may be made to Twin City Model Railroad Museum.
