William Ethen

William "Bill" Ethen, age 99, formerly of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died peacefully while surrounded by his family on Friday, October 10, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Anna (McNamara) Ethen; wife, Ruth; great-grandson, Zachary Hite; son-in-law, Rick Carlson; brother, Robert Ethen. He is survived by his children, Kathy Carlson, Bill "Butch" (Shay) Ethen; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, John Ethen; sister-in-law, Norma Ethen. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to a Hospice organization of your choice.
