William F. "Bill" Reinwald, Age 63, of Forest Lake and Hamilton, NY Fighting valiantly against pulmonary fibrosis, Bill slipped from this world on December 16, 2011, surrounded by his loving wife and dear friends. Bill received his B.A. in Psychology at Dickinson College, where he was a member of Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity. After college, he joined VISTA and came to MN to work with disadvantaged youth. He married Sandra Wessman on February 20, 1987. Bill had been a Sr. Social Worker with Anoka County for 27 years, retiring this past April. He was a gifted musician and songwriter, playing with the Sunrise River Band. Bill was an avid gardener, golfer and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. He played softball and basketball; loved dogs, cats, nature and good friends. Bill had a keen intellect along with a sense of wit and wisdom that drew people close, and he will always be loved. Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Jean (Kellmurray) Reinwald. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wessman; brother, Thomas P. (Sharon) Reinwald of Shippensburg, PA; and cousins, Linda Sweeney, Williamsburg VA, Richard Luke, Indianapolis, IN, Janice Gaffney, New Hartford, NY, Roberta Zimmerman, East Aurora, NY. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held 2:00 p.m, Thursday, January 5, 2011 at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Mpls. Gathering 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to KFAI Radio or Project for Pride in Living.
