William “Bill” (Bitz) Osterbauer, age 87, lifelong settler and farmer of the Wyoming, Minnesota area died peacefully while surrounded by family, Saturday, February 24, 2018 following a brief illness. Bill “Bitz” was a proud member of the Reub’s Tire Shop Coffee Club and was very thankful for the many friends he had in the community. He is preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Barbara; wife, Bonnie; grandson, Peter Osterbauer; siblings, Isabel, Thomas, Anna. He is survived by his children, Lance (Paula), Dori (Shawn) Case, Loren (Brenda), Dawna (Bruce) Schultz; grandchildren, Jessica (Nate) Stimson, Philip (Anne) Osterbauer, Trevor (Chrissy) Osterbauer, Blaine Osterbauer, Connor Case, Zoe Case, Chloe Schultz, Casey Schultz; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Eleanore (Jack) McGowan, Leeroy (Cathy), Mary (Jacob) Clement; and many other family members.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake at a later date.
